One of the newest Smithsonian Institution’s museums, the American Women’s collections are only accessible online while awaiting a physical building, to be completed within the next decade. The website includes digitized items from women in sports, public service, public health, entertainment, education, arts, science and more. For educational purposes, there are videos, articles, photographs, and visual data about gardening and mathematics. They also offer access to virtual symposiums and lectures, plus past and current online exhibitions in a plethora of areas. They also have pictures from the portrait gallery, and images from the First Ladies collection that is housed at the Smithsonian American History Museum.
