In 2007, NASA partnered with the digital platform Flickr, for the purpose of providing access of its images to a wider audience. Through Flickr, NASA has been able to share thousands of historic photographs and videos of the all parts of the known universe. In addition to looking at the pictures and watching films, the community of users are encouraged to add comments and stories, in order to enrich the images. Images are available for viewing, research and community outreach through single photographs, in collections of albums, and also listed as favorites.
